Over 150 folk artists, demonstrators, re-enactors, and musicians will provide a day of entertainment and education unlike any in the area. In addition to a day filled with the sounds of bluegrass, blues, and string band music, a diverse selection of 19th century skills and activities will be offered. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience times past by picking cotton, milking goats, and trying their hand at stencil painting. Other demonstrations will include blacksmithing, fireplace cooking, quilting, weaving, tatting, soap making, basket weaving, traditional pottery, brick making, logging with horses, and so much more. The Civil War Era will be brought to life through living history encampments, educational presentations, and demonstrations including cannon fire exhibitions. Bring your shopping bag because a wide selection of folk art and crafts will be available for purchase from some of the best folk artists in the region.
