POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor – Brownsville Campus

 

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Whiteville is accepting applications for the part-time position of Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Tennessee
  • Three years of clinical experience/practice as a RN within the last 5 years
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred

 

SKILLS:

  • Must possess the communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher
  • Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude
  • Must be willing to remain current in nursing profession

 

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Provide clinical and classroom instruction.
  • Maintain and update clinical objectives.
  • Evaluate students' performance
  • Maintain records.
  • Participate in the development of curriculum and instruction.

JOB DESCRIPTION

COLLEGE ACCESS COORDINATOR

General Duties:

The College Access Coordinator reports to the President and is responsible for all activities involving dual enrollment/dual credit, special industry training and evening part-time programs.  The Coordinator must be able to work within a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings and week-ends.  Must be available to initiate and negotiate special industry contract training projects and develop curricula.

Specific Duties

  • Coordinate the enrollment of high school students in the dual enrollment and dual credit programs
  • Initiate, coordinate and supervise special industry training programs
  • Create market plans for special industry training, dual enrollment and non-traditional programs and supervise the outcomes
  • Meet and establish partnerships with manufacturing representatives in service delivery area
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations throughout the Service Delivery Area
  • Secure grant funding for summer camp programs for secondary students to learn more about manufacturing
  • Keep director well informed of status of all projects
  • Plan and direct the layout of equipment in program areas to effectively utilize space and simulate the industry environment
  • Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Review status reports and address issues as appropriate
  • Manage day-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Other duties as assigned by director

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Experience in developing marketing strategies
  • Must be innovative with good communication, human relations, planning and organizational skills
  • Must have software skills in the Microsoft package
  • Must be able to lead and direct the work of others
  • Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and the ability to make judgment decisions independently
  • Must be able to formulate, interpret, and implement policies and operating practices
  • Must be a self starter

 

 

SALARY:

 

Commensurate with qualifications and experience according to TBR guidelines.  This is a grant funded position.
